ILY:1 (아일리원) is a six-member girl group under FC ENM. They are expected to make their debut in mid-April 2022.[1]
Name Meaning[]
The name ILY:1 is a combination of the word "I" and suffix "-ly," while the "1" represents each member's unique charm coming together as one. Additionally, "ILY" is an acronym for "I Love You", representing the group's love to the fans who support them.[2][3]
History[]
Pre-Debut[]
On December 24, 2021, FC ENM announced that four former Girls Planet 999 contestants - Hayase Hana, Lee Yunji, Chang Ching, and Kishida Ririka - would debuting in a new girl group together in the first half of 2022.[4] On January 3, the group's debuting name, ILY:1, was revealed.[2] Later that day, their official group logo and SNS accounts were revealed as well.
From January 10 to January 12, two members of the group were revealed each day, starting with Nayu and Lee Yunji (now using the stage name Ara) on January 10th, Kishida Ririka and Hayase Hana on January 11th, and finally Elva and Chang Ching (now using the stage name Rona) on January 12th.[5][6][7][8][9][10]
On January 14, 2022, it was announced that ILY:1 would release a pre-debut reality show titled ILY:0. The first episode was released on February 4, 2022 at 10PM KST through their YouTube channel.[11] The last episode was released on February 25.
2022: Debut with "Love in Bloom", "Que Sera Sera"[]
Following the release of the last episode of ILY:0, it was announced that the group will be debut on March 15 with their first single album, "Love In Bloom".[12] However on March 11 through their SNS channels, it was announced that the debut would be postponed to mid-April due to COVID-19.[13] The release date was revealed on March 18, announcing that the group would debut on April 4.
On June 13, it was announced that the group will make their first comeback on July 19.[14] The following week, a scheduler was released revealing that they will be releasing their second single album titled, "Que Sera Sera".[15]
2023: A Dream Of ILY:1[]
On December 15, 2022, it was reported that ILY:1 would be releasing their first mini album in January 2023.[16] A day after that, a scheduler posted on the group's SNS revealed their first mini album titled A Dream Of ILY:1, set to release on January 5.[17]
